P&P is Back – Just in Time for Holiday Shopping Season!
Hi everyone!
Glad to finally be back and writing again! We had a crazy few months of weddings, travel and a bunch of other goings-on so I’m thrilled to finally be back and up & running on P&P again! And what better time to get back to some bargain-shopping than what I call the epic holiday sale pre-season?
So the season of holiday shopping and enormous sales is perfect for checking off gifts for everyone on your list … but it’s also the perfect time to score some fab deals on items for yourself, amiright? I mean with all the shopping for others, our own inner Santa Claus needs a few things here & there too (or at least that’s my justification for some personal splurges).
This year, it seems like some retailers are pulling out their big sale signs super early, offering STEEP deals on major winter items (just snagged this handsome Cole Haan coat for 60% off for a certain someone on my list, who hopefully won’t, but likely will read this post ☺). I’m working on a holiday gift guide to share in a few weeks, but as a preview, here are a few items I recommend snagging now so that you can look fabulous while shopping & gifting this season!
Faves from Nordstrom’s Fall Sale
BLANKNYC ‘Easy Rider’ Faux Leather Moto Jacket … This jacket is not only environmentally friendly, it’s wallet-friendly too! Win-win! PS – all sizes are still available, so, bonus win!
Larry Levine Faux Fur Hooded Jacket … Chilly? Here’s a fabulous down coat for UNDER $100!
CeCe Ruffle Sleeve Sweater … Love this sweater with jeans for a casual look, or dressed up with a white or velvety, rich-toned bottom for a great holiday look.
*TIP: A light heather grey (gray? is there ever a correct spelling of this color?!) is a fabulous alternative to a white or off-white look around the holiday season!*
Bargains at Bloomingdale’s
Superga Classic Jersey Lace Up Sneakers … I don’t own these in the super cute jersey fabric, but I own them in the classic canvas and a cozy wool version and let me tell you… I LIVE IN THESE (see pic below)! They are super comfy, have way more support than some other casual tennies, and the price is fantastic.
*TIP: If you have narrow feet, size down a half-size. These can be roomy!*
AQUA Cashmere Fitted Crewneck Sweater … Who doesn’t love cozy cashmere at this time of year? Plus, at 49% off, you could grab one for you & one for someone else on your list (or two for you… I won’t tell).
J Brand Skinny Jeans in ‘Covert’ … I can’t go on enough about how much I love J Brand jeans – they last forever, they’re always comfy and snap back to their natural shape so no need to worry about squeezing in those extra holiday lb’s too much after you’ve washed them. These fabulous dark skinnies are a bit of a splurge, but with the extra $25 off of every $100 spent at Bloomie’s (FYI, this sale ends tonight!), you could snag them for only $113.60 – that’s 57% off!
J.Crew & J.Crew Factory 40% Off Sales … a P&P Obsession

J.Crew Factory Striped Ruffle-Cuff Sweater … This is a year-round sweater at a fantastic bargain. I dare you not to nab it!
J.Crew V-Back Sweater with Velvet Tie … How adorable & cozy is this 40% off sweater?! The white is perfect for the holidays, and if you want a color that will take you through the holidays and into the spring, the heather grey is just darling!
J.Crew Daisylace Bell-Sleeve Top … I’ve had my eye on this top for a while (see oh-so-fab fitting room pic :)) and finally snagged it at 33% off today. I bought the beautiful powder blue shade, but the winter white version would be perfect for the holidays (and spring!).
