Gift Guide for the Girls!

Gift Guide for the Girls!

It’s closing in! Hannukah has officially kicked off and Christmas is now LESS THAN TWO WEEKS away! We’ve covered all the best toys for the boys so, without further adieu, let’s jump in for the gift guide for your gals // squad // S.O.’s // mama’s // sissies // all of the above ladies on your list. Here we go!

Taking one from the boys – As I said in my Guys Gift Guide, you can’t go wrong with gifting a classic holiday sweater. Weather it’s a traditional Nordic fair isle print that exudes holiday cheer, a chic tailored turtleneck or an offensively bright, electronically operated, hilarious & ugly AF “garment”, a cozy sweater is always a great gift if you live anywhere that hits below 60° in December. Here are some options your girls are sure to love:

$70 & Up

You can’t ever go wrong with cashmere. Seriously, you just can’t. For a chic style in a luxurious fabric, you really can’t do any better than this oversized turtleneck from Bloomingdale’s (I am looooving the marled burgundy color!). This beauty is already marked down 40%, and if you sign up for their email list or shop in-store, you might get an extra 20%-40% off coupon – making this great deal, that much more fabulous.

*Hint: If you’re shopping for someone who might be on the cusp between sizes and you don’t want to ask their fit, an oversized sweater like this is a great option, too*

I am in love with this cozy Merino-Blend cable-knit from Banana Republic (hint, hint; wink, wink, mom – it’s on my Christmas list!). An ivory cable-knit is such a classic style, making this a no-fail gift – the knit looks great on everyone, the sweater looks as cozy as it feels (especially in a merino-blend), and this particular version has a great modern twist with the side slits (and let’s be honest, when you’re stuck on an over-heated subway at this time of year, it can realllly help a girl air out. Probably TMI, but seriously, amiright?). Best of all? It will be in style F-O-R-E-V-E-R. Trust me, you can’t go wrong with this option.

I love Everlane! I bought my first shirt from this amazing closet-staple brand back in 2014 and have loved the brand ever since (AKA wayyy before it was cool to love them). They have amazing, honest prices for very high-quality garments, and now offer a million different colorways in many classic styles. If the cashmere option above doesn’t float your boat, I’d recommend a classic crewneck like this one.

This is the ultimate sweater for girlie coziness. I have owned this J. Crew beaut for about two

weeks (pictured below) and have worn it more times than I’d like to share (2 to 4 times). It’s ultra soft and features a v-back with a sweet velvet bow that adds just the right amount of femininity without being too cutesy. In short, I’m obsessed and want one in the other two colors it’s offered in (again, mom … hint, hint ;)). PS – they’re offering free shipping, and 4% cash back on Ebates!

$70 & Under

Looking for another style that works on just about everyone? Go for a timeless v-neck in a cozy fabric like this one from Madewell.

Try and tell me this rainbow sweater from Gap doesn’t put a smile on your face. Seriously, just try. Really? Not sold? Ok, well it’s now 50% off at $49, PLUS an additional 50% off with the code “GiftNow” AND 6% cash back on Ebates! You’re ordering it right now aren’t you? It’s ok, you can thank me later 😉

Looking for a cool print that’s a bit more muted in color than the rainbow listed above? Here’s a gorgeous wintery plaid mock-neck from J. Crew Factory that I’m just loving. Best part? It’s UNDER $35 (you’ll totally look like you blew the $50 budget you set with your fam ;)).

Looking for a not-so-fugly ugly sweater? I’m loving this #SquadGoals one from Nordstrom!

Sweaters are great, but Let’s Keep ‘Em Extra Cozy!

Do your girls have a love for leisure? Actually, let me rephrase… do you know anyone who doesn’t have a love for leisure? You can’t ever go wrong with gifting someone something warm & cozy for the holidays. It will always be appreciated, and likely remembered & used more frequently than a disposable (albeit lovely!) gift like a mini bath oil. Here are my faves for keeping your squad lounging in love this holiday season:

Athleta has literally named this top the “Cozy Karma” so I mean … how could it not be a great option?

I’ve said it in previous posts & mentioned it in the Gift Guide for the Guys … you just can’t go wrong with this warm & toasty L.L. Bean Sweater Fleece Pullover. These things are SO soft, incredibly warm, and will earn you a $10 gift card from L.L. Bean (along with 4% cash back on Ebates)!

*FYI – these run a tad large!*

Patagonia Snap-T Pullover Fleeces are always award-winning gifts (I will give an award to Santa or anyone in my fam who would like to throw one of these babies in the Raw Linen color under the tree for me 😉. I have a tendency to hijack borrow one of these from my sister-in-law every time we visit her up north and let me tell you, it’s heavenly – like being wrapped in a warm cloud. Do yourself a favor and buy one for someone on your list and one for yourself.

Take one look at this Quarter-Snap Pullover Sweatshirt from J. Crew Factory and you’ll want to find a way to make it pass as a work-appropriate top. It’s perfect for grabbing a cozy brunch at your fave spot with your girls.

I just saw this Cable-Knit Quilted Robe at Gap and wanted to climb into it then and there. It is SOOOoo luxuriously soft and at $50 with an additional 50% off (use the code “GiftNow”), you can buy one for all the ladies on your list.

For your friend who loves boardgames, she’ll totally let you pass go & collect $200 in fake money for these adorable Hasbro pajamas from Gap.

And for your other friend who loves to be matchy-matchy, even when she sleeps (Hey, das me! Person Raising Hand: Light Skin Tone on Apple iOS 11.2 ), these flannel holiday jammies from Gap and cotton edged detail jammies from J. Crew Factory are sure to make her sleep tight on Christmas night.

I own two pairs of these foot duvets from Restoration Hardware and have gifted them to too many people to count. They feel like walking on clouds (or down comforters) and at under $10, you can buy one for literally everyone on your list!

For your friends who are yogis & fitness freaks (or like going to brunch looking like them (guilty)), here are some fabulous finds:

This Ombré Puffer Jacket from GapFit is gorgeous and I wish it came in more colors. It can easily transition from fall to winter to spring and can help dress anyone up when they’re feeling a little sweaty & gross post-workout.

**Reminder: get this for an extra 50% off with the code “GiftNow”!**

Ombré not her thing? Here’s another cozy option in more colorways from Athleta!

Who doesn’t have a bajillion pairs of black tees & black leggings that they wear with everything in the winter? Give your girls a touch of color with these Gap gFast high rise leggings (the vineyard color is gorgeous!) and this bright & fun striped GapFit crewneck tee.

When the wind is blowing and you left your scarf at home, nothing is better than a warm, high-neck pullover for your quick trip to the gym. This Cowl-Neck training sweatshhirt from Nike is a fabulous option and is sure to keep you toasty warm on those chilly winter mornings.

For your friend who’s always the Hostess with the Mostest

It can be tough to figure out what to get for your friend who always has just the right things at just the right time (she’s a hostess-extraordinaire, after all!). So why not go the extra mile for the girl who sets the bar and gift her something she can use for all her soirees and that will add a touch of personalization?

Mark & Graham is always fabulous for tracking down personalized gifts and this monogrammed serving tray is a perfect example. The fact that it’s acrylic helps because you don’t have to worry about matching exactly to her colorways, and the beautiful center monogram makes it extra special.

These might not be monogrammed, but if she’s the girliest of girly girls, she’ll LOVE how you totes matched her tea to her style and will be thrilled to show off this mug set that can only be described as pretty lovely.

She’ll probably feel the exact same way about this beautiful French Press from Anthropologie 🙂

If she always illuminates her apartment beautifully for get-togethers (or date nights?), she’ll love this monogrammed candle from Mark & Graham.

For your besties who beg for baubles and accessorize their accessories, here are a few of my top picks:

Buy these beaded orb dangle earrings from J. Crew Factory in every color – they’re great for holiday gifts, and backup birthday gifts ;).

For your preppiest of pals, you can’t go wrong with tortoise hoops.

Your friend // mom // sibling // in-law who loves understated pieces will love these beautiful monogrammed Kate Spade initial pendants.

For that other friend who likes to make a statement.

And finally, they need bags to carry all these gifts in, right?!

Here are a few of my loves:

For the girly-girl who has a secret glam side, this Nastygal bag from Bloomie’s is sure to fit the bill.

For your friend who carries her life in her handbag while still looking super chic and effortlessly pulled together, this Sole Society tote is a perfect addition to her purse collection (especially at 50% off)!

For the friend who’s tough to find the right bag for, you can’t go wrong with this classic crossbody.

Your downtown-glam girlfriend who isn’t afraid to veer away from the all-black look will LOVE this Banana Republic smartphone crossbody. How gorgeous is that seaweed color?!

The same lady on your list who would wear the tortoise earrings I mentioned ^Backhand Index Pointing Up on Apple iOS 11.2^ will adore this Mark & Graham monogrammed mini tote and/or this super fun hard case clutch.

I hope that helps wrap up your major shopping! Keep an eye out for my last installment of 2017 holiday gift guides later this week (covering stocking stuffers and holiday host gifts)!

Happy hump day!
