Hi! I’m Margot!

I’m a business professional by day and a deal-hunter by night (or lunch hour :)). I love shopping, have a small budget and really get a thrill out of finding great deals, which is why I’ve created this site to tell everyone about my bargain hunting strategies!

A little about me… I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA (GO STEELERS!) and lived in Chicago for many years before moving to NYC two years ago. I live in Manhattan with my wonderful husband, Michael (sorry, I know it’s probably super corny to gush like that, but if you met him you’d understand… he’s sweeps-you-off-your-feet AH-MAZ-ING). I’d love to say we live here with a sweet pup with a super fun name, but our tiny apartment just can’t fit one at the moment.

Other than shopping, I love spending time with family & friends, head to the beach ANY time I can and though I love all Pittsburgh sports equally, I have an unwavering adoration for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seriously – we bleed black & gold in my family. To get to know each other better, here’s a Top 10 list of my favorite things (in no particular order):

Favorite Food: Ice cream! Don’t ask me which flavor… totally depends on my mood
Favorite Drinks: Rosé wine (dry, not sweet!) and Piña Coladas (appropriate at any time of year in my book)
Favorite Places: Too many to pick, but Pittsburgh; NYC; the Pocono Mountains; Newport, RI and LBI, NJ are my top 5
Favorite Activities & Hobbies: Reading; Photography; Binge-watching TV shows like Veep, The West Wing, Friends and House of Cards or watching crime documentaries; Eating any and all ice cream & pizza in sight
Favorite Sports Teams: Pittsburgh Steelers (if you couldn’t already tell), Penguins & Pirates… as well as the Chicago Cubs and NY Yankees!
Favorite Store/Designer: J.Crew / Nicholas
Favorite Fashion Staple: Jack Rogers Classic ‘Hamptons’ sandals in Platinum … I live in these and have yet to find an outfit that can’t work with them
Favorite Season: SUMMER!
Favorite Color: Green
Favorite person, place or thing: Michael!
